In honor of Filipino nurses, the Commission on Filipinos Overseas through the Presidential Task Force on NCLEX, launched an essay writing competition open to all Filipino writers with the theme Heralds of Care: Reflections on the Filipino Nursing Legacy of Caring for the Country and the World.

The panel of judges shall select 10 winners. Each winner will be given a cash prize of P10,000.00 and a plaque of recognition from the organizers. Deadline for the submission of entries is on 31 March 2010.
